Y.A.Y. Matches

What support do the matches have?

Our professional staff members maintain close contact with both the volunteers and the children's parents to ensure that the match is progressing smoothly.

How do we match children and volunteers?

After the selection process has been completed, YAY staff attempt to match up children and volunteers according to interests, temperament, and geographical location.

Children and their parents also get the choice of what gender they would like for their volunteer. As all children are different, this gives the parents and child the choice to find a volunteer that best suits their child.

What is the cost for the program?

The program is free!
